So true! I drove home very late at night from taking care of my father, feeling a little blue that I hadn't had time to put up Christmas. Then, a block from my house I saw lights twinkling in my front room. What a nice hubby I have to put those up while I was gone.
I will invite happiness into my life. I will wear more colors more often. When I feel like hiding I will wear something bold. I will allow myself to be silly in public. And I'll LIKE it. I will forgive myself more easily. I will forgive others more easily. I will be willing to give everyone at least one sincere smile a day.

ReplyDeleteagreed. it's sort of the only thing lately that's been cheering me up. just blogged about it, too, actually.

ReplyDeleteChristmas lights are a sparkling balm in the dark of winter.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you started a new blog and also that I finally realized it was here :).
Mum, I love that story! I just felt a little more Christmasy right in the moment I read it.
ReplyDeleteGreytree: I am also glad about both of those things. Uber glad.
